Call for Speakers Turin 2026

Sharing experiences and knowledge is the heart of every WordCamp: there are those who attend for the first time and want to approach WordPress, and those who have been users for some time and want to deepen their knowledge or discover new secrets.
WordCamps are events open to anyone who wants to participate: designers, bloggers, developers, marketers, copywriters and, in general, people who are passionate and curious.
WordCamps are inclusive and accessible events. We are therefore happy to host speakers of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels.
WordCamp Turin has traditionally dedicated attention to gender equality and the presence of underrepresented groups in the event program. This is something we particularly care about and want to maintain. For this reason, we particularly encourage applications from women. Whether you are a developer, hold a technical role, or specialize in other areas of the WordPress ecosystem, your application is welcome!
You don’t have to be a professional speaker, just be competent in the topic you will be discussing, and want to share what you know: it is precisely the spirit of sharing that sustains WordPress and its community.
If this is your first time speaking or you would like feedback on your talk, we also have an excellent mentoring service to help you fine-tune your presentation!
Have you used WordPress for a personal project of yours? Do you want to share your solutions to an unusual problem, or tell us how your passion for WordPress was born?
Great! Your experiences could be an inspiration for the WordCamp audience and help our whole wonderful community grow.
What topics can I talk about?
You are free to choose any topic you are passionate about and want to talk about. However, keep in mind that a WordCamp is an event dedicated to WordPress and its community, so staying within this scope could help your talk be selected.

Talk formats
We want to create a rich event that also leaves space for socializing, visiting our sponsors, and moving without too much rush between one presentation and the next.
For this reason, we have three formats:
- Traditional talks
30 minutes of total time available to each speaker, which can be used entirely for a long presentation, or for a shorter talk that leaves space for some audience questions at the end.
- Lightning talks
A 10-minute talk: presentations straight to the point, knowledge nuggets for practical, technical topics, tips… or your ace up your sleeve in using WordPress. A short format to give space to up to 3 speakers in the span of half an hour. - Panel
A round table with a moderator and several speakers discussing a specific topic related to WordPress in which the audience is an integral part of the discussion! Duration 30 minutes.
Who can apply?
In short: anyone who uses WordPress, at any level, including those speaking at an event for the first time. Yes-we-can!
WordCamp Turin 2026 reflects the values of the WordPress Community: we encourage the participation of those who have never been on stage, or who don’t have many opportunities to do so.
The only requirements are passion and practical knowledge of the topic you will talk about.
If the idea of speaking at WordCamp Turin tickles you, we will help you do it! We also have a Mentoring program to help those with little experience as speakers prepare better.

Other things to remember
- We welcome speakers of all ages and backgrounds: WordCamps are inclusive and accessible events.
- You don’t have to be a professional speaker, but we expect you to be competent in the topic you will be discussing.
- Your presentation is not a means to promote your product or service. If your session explains how you used WordPress to build something of collective interest and you want to present a case-study that’s fine, but sales pitches are not allowed (including slides with photos of books or courses and links for purchase or discount coupons).
- If your application is accepted, the texts you enter in the Bio, Session Title, and Session Description fields will be used on the site: please fill everything out carefully. We reserve the right to modify them for consistency with the rest of the texts.
- Remember the capital P in WordPress and respect the copyright of WordPress.
- If you want to apply with multiple proposals, please fill out the form for each individual talk.
- Slides must be delivered by Friday, April 30th.
- No payment or reimbursement is due to speakers: WordCamps are based on voluntary contributions from all people involved.
- Please accept these rules only if you have truly read them.
