I volontari sono fondamentali per la buona riuscita di un WordCamp: aiutano a rendere l’evento funzionale ed efficiente, garantendo allo stesso tempo il divertimento per tutti. Inoltre, candidarsi è un ottimo modo per essere più coinvolti nella comunità di WordPress.

Siamo alla ricerca di persone entusiaste, organizzate, energiche e che amino WordPress!

Se ti interessa candidarti come volontario ti chiediamo di leggere le informazioni qui sotto e di farci sapere come ti piacerebbe dare una mano, compilando il form che si trova nei link in fondo a questa pagina.

I ruoli dei volontari saranno meglio definiti in prossimità dell’evento.

Ti preghiamo di fornirci tutte le informazioni possibili in modo dettagliato.

Come volontario avrai queste ed altre possibilità:

• essere parte essenziale del team durante il giorno dell’evento;
• incontrare speaker nazionali e internazionali;
• fare networking con i partecipanti provenienti da tutta Italia e estero.

In che cosa abbiamo bisogno di aiuto?

Abbiamo bisogno di volontari sul campo e con le mani in pasta, il giorno dell’evento e quello precedente in alcuni casi. Aspettati di essere esausto e euforico, la sera a fine evento!

Le attività che potrai trovarti a fare includono:

• Registrazione e accoglienza;
• Preparare i sacchetti con swag;
• Distribuire le t-shirt;
• Aiutare durante il pranzo e pause caffè;
• Aiutare gli speaker;
• Correre in giro con il microfono durante le sessioni;
• Aiutare ad indirizzare speaker e visitatori;

Mi pagate o fate un rimborso spese?

No. I WordCamp sono eventi fatti da volontari, quindi come regola, in tutto il mondo, non sono previste coperture di spese. Sarà tua cura coprire i costi di viaggio e permanenza a Torino.

Se sarai accettato come volontario avrai accesso gratuito all’evento e anche il pranzo durante la giornata del 2 aprile.

Ti ricordiamo che fare volontariato al WordCamp Torino è un modo unico per contribuire e sostenere l’evento e la comunità di WordPress.

Che cosa devo aspettarmi?

Una volta che sei stato accettato come volontario al WordCamp Torino 2016, sarai aggregato al team dei volontari in funzione di ciò che sai fare e ti saranno assegnati vari compiti da portare avanti prima e durante l’evento.

Prima dell’evento l’intero team si incontrerà per parlare della gestione del WordCamp, potrai visitare la sede del WordCamp e dare una mano alla prima organizzazione.

Il giorno del WordCamp dovrai portare a termine i compiti assegnati, lavorando come parte di una squadra che ci auguriamo possa funzionare come un orologio.

Chiediamo ai volontari di stare almeno fino alla sera di sabato 2 aprile e siete invitati anche a partecipare ed aiutare al Contributor Day di venerdì 1 aprile.

Tutte le informazioni vengono raccolte al solo scopo di mantenere una comunicazione più efficace tra gli organizzatori del team WordCamp Torino e i volontari.

Tutti i volontari avranno diritto all’ingresso gratuito al WordCamp, quindi se ti candidi non procedere con l’acquisto del biglietto!
Nel caso in cui la tua candidatura venga respinta e tu decida comunque di venire (ovvio che vieni!) non preoccuparti di restare senza biglietto, ne metteremo in vendita un altro lotto dopo aver deciso i volontari.

Volunteers are the backbone of any successful WordCamp. They will help make this event available in the best possible way, while ensuring fun for everyone. Moreover, it is a great way to get involved in the WordPress community!

We are looking for enthusiastic, well organized and energetic people, people who love WordPress.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, read the information below, and let us know how you can help out filling in the form (you can find it following the links at the bottom of this page).

The tasks of the volunteers will be defined towards the opening of the event. Please provide all the information in detail.

As a volunteer you will have these and other possibilities

• Be an essential part of the team during the day of the event;
• Meet national and international speakers;
• Spend time with the organizers;
• Network with participants from all over Italy and abroad;

How do we need help?

We need volunteers during the days of the event. Expect to be exhausted and elated at the same time at the end of the day!

The activities that you can do include:

• Registration and reception;
• Prepare bags with swag;
• Distribute t-shirt;
• Helping during lunch and coffee breaks;
• Helping speakers;
• Run around with the microphone during sessions;
• Help with moving people;
• General administration.

Will you pay or I’ll have a refund?

As a rule, for all WordCamps in the world, expenses are not covered from the organization. If you want to get involved, you have to cover the costs of travel and stay in Turin.
If you are accepted as a volunteer you will have free access to the event and even lunch during the day of April 2.

Volunteering at WordCamp Turin is a unique way to help and support the event and the WordPress community.

What should I expect?

Once you have been accepted as a volunteer at WordCamp Torino 2016, you’ll be aggregated to the team of volunteers according to what you do and will be given various tasks to be carried out before and during the event.

Before the event the entire team meets to talk about WordCamp management so you can visit the headquarters of the WordCamp and help out the organization before.

During the WordCamp you must complete the assigned tasks, working as part of a team that we hope will function as a clock.

We ask volunteers to stay at least until the evening of Saturday, April 2, and you are also invited to participate and help the Contributor Day on Friday, April 1.

Informations are collected with the sole aim of maintaining a more effective communication between the organizers of WordCamp Torino 2016 and volunteers.

All volunteers will get a free ticket to WordCamp, so please, do not buy a ticket if you apply!
In case you will not be selected, but you still want to come (of course you do!) don’t worry, we’ll have a batch of tickets reserved for sale, after deciding volunteers.
