Nel gruppo di lavoro che si era riunito al tavolo WordPress TV, nella prima metà della giornata abbiamo visto insieme cos’è il progetto nell’insieme, come funzionano i processi di lavoro dei video e come si può contribuire, mostrando le slide che avevo preparato apposta e rispondendo alle domande dei partecipanti.

Nella seconda parte della giornata, una parte di persone si era dedicata alla post-produzione dei video del WordCamp Atlanta 2016 e altre persone hanno trascritto e tradotto sottotitoli dei video del WordCamp US 2015, sul nostro canale ufficiale di YouTube. Abbiamo anche discusso sulla creazione degli intro animati per i video dei WordCamp e si è deciso di farlo però prima di un WordCamp, per agevolare poi il montaggio dei video e il loro veloce rilascio sul sito web WordPress.tv

Non abbiamo potuto completare nulla, in quanto queste attività richiedono molto più tempo di un Contributor Day. In ogni caso, ho visto che alcuni hanno poi finito il lavoro nei giorni successivi e altri stanno continuando a fare domande nel canale Slack #wptv che ho creato apposta per la comunità italiana e per chi vuole dare una mano.
Ringrazio tutti quelli che si sono interessati al progetto e spero di vedere contribuire altre persone a questo progetto anche in Italia.

As far as the WordPress TV team, in the first half of the CD in Torino we overlooked the project in its entirety, we presented the workflows for video production and editing, and explained how volunteers can contribute.I presented the slides I had prepared and answered the participants’ questions.

In the second half of the day, part of the team tackled some post-production for the WordCamp Atlanta 2016 videos, while others have transcribed and translated subtitles of some videos from WordCamp US 2015 on our official YouTube channel.We also discussed the design of animated intros for the videos, but we ended up deciding that it is better to plan ahead that aspect, before a WordCamp, so not to delay the editing, the uploading, and the publishing onto WordPress.tv

We didn’t finish any task on that day, as most of these activities require longer than a Contributor Day.Nonetheless, some people finished their work in the following days and others are actively asking questions on the #wptv Slack channel I opened for the Italian Community and for those in it that wish to contribute.

I want to thank all the people that have showed interest towards this project, and I hope to see the number of Italian contributors increase as well.
