Volunteers are essential for the success of any WordCamp and that’s why we are looking for enthusiastic, organized and energic people who loves WordPress!

Any WordCamp exist thank to people that, voluntarily, choose to edicate their time to organize this big event and make it a success.
It will allow you to meet a lot of people coming from Italy and from abroad, to build new relationships and, most of all, to be a vital part of this amazing community.
Last, but not least, we will be celebrating WordCamp Torino 5th anniversary!

WordCamp is a big party and you could be too part of the team : your enthusiasm, good will and time is what the community is asking.
Volunteer will be the fuel at the heart of the event and will make this wonderful engine work.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
At the event itself many roles are required to ensure smooth running, please find details below.
- Assisting speakers
- Running the help desk
- Supporting the participants
- Managing the tools and accessories to setting up mics
- Emceeing
- Handling other technical parts
- Welcome and registrer: attendees welcome, badge and gadget distribution.
- Green Room: room reserved for volunteers/organizers and speakers. Your role will be to make sure silence and reserved access will be respected.
- Emcee: is the host, presenting talks and speakeras, entertains during the breaks and giving all the information and announcements.
- Time Keeper: has the crucial duty to help the speakers to keep to the assigned times showing a sign displaying remaining time.
- Room Manager: conference room service. The role is to coordinate and make sure everything is working correctly and in accordance with the timing established, to manage everything about the room and the conference going on in it. The Room Manager ensures the speakers are in the room and ready for their speeches and assists them testing the video projector connection, also checks on the room team 10 minutes before starting. During Q&A time brings microphone to the people in the audience indicated by the MC.
- Room Keeper: makes dure the room will not be too noisy and the doors are kept closed, most importantly during the changes.
- Social Media: will manage Twitter and Facebook lives during the conference. Volunteers dedicated to this activity will follow the talks and tweet on the most interesting contents.
- Filming: will manage audio e video in the assigned room, checking on the well-functioning of recording and audio system for eash session.
- Photographers: with his/her own equipment, the task will be to capture WordCamp various moments and, above all, his mood, producing photo material suitabe for promotional purposes.
- Caffè corner: we will be serving coffee all day long thanks to our sponsors. The corner volunteer will make sure everyone will be get a coffe!

FAQ
WILL I BE ON DUTY ALL THE TIME?
No. We will organize turns. Please remember that you will identified as a member of the team for the entire duration of the event: so we are looking forward for you to help all the partecipants. It is an honour and a duty to be part of such an exciting event!
WILL YOU PROVIDE A COST REFUND?
No. WordCamp are managed and made by volunteers, so, as it happens in the rest of the world, cost refunds are not provided. Will be your responsability to cover transfer and staying costs for the period you will be in Turin, If you will be pickd as a volunteer you will be granted with a free entrance ticket for both days and with lunchs.
Be a voluntees at WordCamp Torino 2020 is a unique way to contribute and support the event and the WordPress community.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
First of all, to have fun!
We will reach out via mail to tell you if you are part of our volunteers team – note: we would love to accepts everyone, but it won’t be alway possibe! So don’t be mad at us, other chances will follow to help!
Once you will be part of the WordCamp Torino 2020 team, you will be assigned to a team based on your skills and you will be assigned with duties before and during the event.
We will meet before the event to introduce the entire team, to decide on activities and roles for each person you will be working with and will explore the venue!
During WordCamp days, 17th and 18th of April 11th and 12 of September (postponed due to Covid-19), we will be working ALL TOGETHER as a TEAM wishing that everything will run as a Swiss watch!
And we will party with a great After Party!
